Flyover Friday - And the winner is...

It's Oscar night, and here are the Flyover Friday nominees for Best Review based solely on how I felt about the critic's work going into this week, or who has the highest profile already -- y'know, just like the popularity contest that is the actual Academy Awards.

Charles Ferruzza's review of Morton's Grille for the Kansas City Pitch

Sarah Baker Hansen's review of Nite Owl for the Omaha World-Herald

Cheryl Baehr's review of Leonardo's Kitchen and Wine Bar for St. Louis' Riverfront Times

Douglas Trattner's review of the Black Pig for the Cleveland Scene

Rick Nelson's review of Vivo Kitchen for the Minneapolis StarTribune

And the winner is... Charles Ferruzza! Though I have to say, for being picked sight-unseen because I typically do like all of these reviewers, the product on the page turned out to be quite good for all five. Nelson's review did come off almost like two reviews stuck together -- he needs to rein it in a little, more often than not in fact -- but even at its length it was a solid review. Just to be nominated is a victory, guys.

And now, the awards for Technical Achievement in Also Being a Review Published in a Week in Which I Was Too Busy to Read All the Reviews:
