Flyover Friday - Raking Leaves, Vol. 4

Heather Schroering's review of Earls Kitchen and bar for Chicago's RedEye

K.L. Lorenz's review of The Anchorage Restaurant for Milwaukee's Shepherd Express - Interestingly (to me, anyway) the headline and URL changed slightly during its first day online, from "despite" to "with." Wonder if the restaurant said something, or if an editor thought differently at/past the last minute.

Jess Fleming's review of Highland Grill for St. Paul's Pioneer Press

Pama Mitchell's review of Piccolo Wine Room for Cincinnati CityBeat

Douglas Trattner's review of Citizen Pie for the Cleveland Scene

Serena Maria Daniels' review of Batch Brewing for the Detroit Metro Times

Lindsay Christians' review of The Avenue Club and Bubble-Up Bar for Madison's Capital Times - Come on, Capital Times. You killed the streak!

Cheryl Baehr's review of Ramen Tei for St. Louis' Riverfront Times

Polly Campbell's review of Frida 602 for the Cincinnati Enquirer

G.A. Benton's review of Gokul Cafe for the Columbus Dispatch

Samara Kalk Derby's review of Cafe Hollander for Madison's Wisconsin State Journal

Rick Nelson's review of Monello for the Minneapolis StarTribune

Sarah Baker Hansen's review of Ugly Duck Ramen for the Omaha World-Herald

Ian Froeb's review of Randolfi's Italian Kitchen for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Blade staff's review of Sabor Brazilian Grill and Desserts for the Toledo Blade

Joe Crea's review of Oak and Embers for the Cleveland Plain Dealer

Carol Deptolla's review of Merriment Social for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Molly Abraham's review of Beverly Hills Grill for the Detroit News - This batch of reviews closes out with two critics who have been a little scarce of late. With news coming out during this week (the week that was, not the week it is when I publish this) that longtime Detroit Free Press critic Sylvia Rector (not often seen in this column, tbh) has taken a buyout, retirement is definitely in the air in Flyover Friday country. Makes me wonder about Deptolla and Abraham.
